io21ZERO97 is a running event that takes place every year among radiant naturalistic scenarios and glimpses of historical-cultural interest of the Camonica Valley. A project born in 2013 from an idea of the friends and founders of Corrintime, Giorgio Buzzi and Walter Bassi.
Over the years, the event has been the Italian Interbank Championship, the CSI Regional Championship, the Italian Fire Brigade Championship, a national and international competition, always maintaining high organizational and management levels.
This year the 10th anniversary will be held. Scheduled for Sunday 8 October are competitive and non-competitive races of varying difficulty:
HALF MARATHON: io21ZERO97 travels through Valle Camonica mainly following the course of the Oglio river, touching the municipalities of Breno, Losine, Niardo, Cividate Camuno, Esine, Piancogno and Darfo Boario Terme.
The route is almost entirely asphalted, closed to traffic, and approved BY FIDAL.
10KM RUN: circular route that starts from Darfo Boario Terme, passes through the hamlets of Montecchio and Sacca, and returns to Darfo Boario Terme via the Valle Camonica cycle path.
RELAY RACE: non-competitive relay. First fraction: 10km from Breno to Cividate Camuno | Second fraction: 11km from Cividate Camuno to Darfo Boario Terme.
Numerous services are included, including shuttle transport, showers, changing rooms and refreshment service at the start with hot tea before the start, refreshments every 5 km with water and salts and great refreshment upon arrival.
From this year it will also be possible to book your own Marathon Lunch.
