TheESG Area of LUCEFIN GROUP is growing from the educational point of view, with the achievement of I degree Master in "Sustainability management and communication – Training, green jobs, circular economy”" by Dr. Laura Mariolini – Sustainability Department.
The master's degree was certified by the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Brescia, with the discussion of the scientific paper “The sustainable business. The dual materiality path of the Lucefin Group".
The essay traces the project “Interconnection and listening, for shared, clear and transparent sustainable development” designed and created at the Lucefin Group, to accompany the organization in the adoption of a double materiality analysis, related data processing and external communication.
The project allowed the Group to identify its material themes according to the ESG logic, gathering the expectations of the Stakeholders and the vision of the Lucefin ESG Committee, according to two different but equally important perspectives, financial and impact materiality.
The themes that have been identified, have oriented the corporate strategies towards a sustainable business model, with the definition of the objectives and actions for the 2024 financial year which will guide the 2024-2026 Corporate Strategy Plan, monitored and updated annually.
“This paper has the goal of speaking to far-sighted companies, ready to embrace the profound meaning of corporate sustainability in a context in which attention towards environmental, social and economic issues is becoming stronger and stronger.”
According to Dr. Laura Mariolini, the efforts put in place to identify the lines of planning a sustainable approach, lead to confirming the coherence of the inputs promoted by the directives. The double materiality path, strengthened by the interconnections with the organisation's stakeholders, becomes a solid basis for undertaking future projects.
“Sustainability is elevated to an index of resilience, competitiveness and progress. An objective to strive towards for the well-being of present and future generations.”
