Human activities and related greenhouse gas emissions have unequivocally caused and increased global warming by approximately 1.1°C since the beginning of the XX° century, generating a generalized negative impact on the environment, health, economy and society.
According toEuropean Environment Agency (EEA), the economic sector of "transport" is the first responsible for the greenhouse gas emissions produced (24.1%), followed by "energy industries" (23.7%) and "industry" (21.4%). Furthermore, going into detail about the "transport" sector, it is highlighted that the greatest impact is generated by the "road" mode (76.2%).
Following the sustainable approach that distinguishes the Lucefin Group, the company is committed to investing in mobility year after year, replacing part of its fleet with fuel-efficient vehicles.
Compared to 2020 - when "Together We Change was launched”, the datum of "Euro 6" means of transport has grown considerably, going from 61% to 66% in 2023, highlighting a reduction in the categories with the highest emissions.
A further improvement is expected in 2024 thanks to recent investments, including the purchase of three Euro 6 tractor units to replace the fleet.
To date, the Euro 6 vehicle category stands at 73%.
