Lucefin welcomed the traveling exhibition "Io Ti Ascolto" against gender violence which can be visited exclusively by internal staff.
The exhibition is made of poems, framed and transformed into paintings written by boys and girls from some Brescia high schools for the literary competition dedicated to the memory of Monia Delpero, killed at the age of 19 in 1989 by her ex-boyfriend and found after three days in the fields of Manerbio.
The first edition of the literary competition was held in 2016-17 from the initiative of Luca Martini and Piera Stretti, aimed at first and second grade secondary schools in the Brescia area. Each year there is a different topic and form of composition.
The subject of the traveling exhibition are the award-winning works of the 2nd 2017-18 edition entitled "I'm listening to you".
The goals of “Io Ti Ascolto” are different.
First of all, raise awareness on a dramatically unresolved issue, that of gender respect and equality. Another objective is to inform public opinion about the battle that Gigliola Bono, Monia's mother, has been fighting for years for compensation to be recognized for victims of violent crimes.
The poems will continue to travel between the companies and schools that will join the project within a symbolic Red Box, signed by each company as a symbol of their commitment and support.
