On tuesday October 8th, at Castello di Casiglio, Federica Giorgi - the head of the ESG Area of ​​the Lucefin Group - participated in the panel for the "ESG Excellence Awards" awards; an event organized by Confindustria Como, Lecco and Sondrio, in collaboration with Open-es and UniCredit.

Federica Giorgi shared the Group's sustainable transition experience, reflecting the entrepreneurial vision of President Giorgio Buzzi who decided in 2019 to push towards a profound change in method, beyond the conventional concept of Green Economy. A change understood as an evolution towards a system of collaboration and involvement of all the stakeholders who revolve around the organization and who operate within it. In this, Lucefin Sustainability has a close connection with the Governance dimension, defined as the evaluation of the structure and implementation of an organizational system different from the past and based on a sharing of objectives, to carry forward a completely new organizational model.
The Group's "Together We Change" sustainability project was launched in 2020, and is now materialized in the definition of the ESG Area which aligns company activities with the growing global expectations regarding sustainability and with Regulations, Directives and Guidelines reference, in particular the CSRD Directive.

The discussion then moved on to the use of the Open-es platform, an initiative between the industrial, financial, associative and institutional worlds.
This platform, implemented in 2023 on the Lucefin Group's distribution sites, allowed to measure its sustainability performance and obtain an ESG profile, share its data and sustainability information with stakeholders and access sector benchmarks.
The implementation of the platform and the launch of dedicated training activities also allowed to increase the skills of various internal figures in ESG terms.
The registration of Lucefin S.p.A and the productive Trafilix Industries will allow to expand its ESG profile and use Open-es for the ESG mapping process of the entire value chain.
