Laura Mariolini – Sustainability & Marketing Departments – held an online session for the course Sustainable Business Management, Master's Degree in Management and Governance (class LM-77), atUniversità Carlo Cattaneo LIUC.
During her speech, Laura Mariolini explained to the students the ESG path that Lucefin has undertaken to integrate Sustainability into its corporate strategy, also sharing the stages and challenges faced by the company towards a more responsible approach to business; she has also reported her professional and academic experience which led her to focus on ESG issues and on the correct management and communication of Sustainability inside and outside the organization.
Particular attention was dedicated to the activities of stakeholder engagement developed over the years and the adoption of thedouble materiality analysis. This analysis, introduced by the CSRD Directive, is an effective tool for evaluating one's ESG performance and impacts, as it allows to evaluate the company's impact on the environment and society as well as the influence of Sustainability issues on its financial performance. Thanks to this integrated perspective, Lucefin has developed an ambitious ESG strategy plan, which highlights the material issues, identified by the Lucefin ESG Committee, and the corresponding objectives and actions to be pursued in the three-year period 2024-2026.
Lucefin's ESG experience, as reminded to the students, is based on a concrete commitment: to generate lasting value that not only promotes company growth, but also contributes positively to the environment and society. This vision's core is the concept of connection with the stakeholders: this is considered a pillar for building a future-proof business. Only by initiating an active and proactive discussion one can understand emerging expectations and challenges, thus developing innovative solutions and promptly responding to market needs.
Animated by this vision, the Group continues to monitor, measure and strengthen its commitment to Sustainability.
We'd like to thank Professor Pierdavide Montonati, teacher and consultant at Whatmatters – Benefit company specialized in corporate sustainability consultancy – for inviting the Lucefin Group to intervene as a case study.
