The Lombardy regional councilor for economic development Guido Guidesi, on Thursday 14 February, continued its "Business Tour" in the province of Brescia to carry on the dialogue and discussion with the productive world.
The day began in Pisogne visiting the companies G.B.M. and Iseo Serrature, to then continue to the Forge Monchieri spa in Cividate Camuno and end, in the afternoon, at Trafilix for a summit with Assocamuna members – Association of entrepreneurs of Vallecamonica and Sebino.
«We have met – declared councilor Guidesi – healthy, and active realities that are willing to invest. We presented the initiatives implemented to support the Lombardy production system, giving the willingness to share objectives and paths that companies want to undertake to consolidate and grow. We want to continue to be concretely close to those who do business and contribute to the economic and social records that Lombardy has achieved."
In Trafilix, councilorGuidesi presented in a discussion table coordinated by Giorgio Buzzi, President of Associazione Assocamuna and Gruppo Lucefin, the opportunities of the Lombardy Region and collected the entrepreneurs' requests to the institutions.
Giorgio Buzzi, as spokesperson for Vallecamonica industrialists, highlighted the urgent needs of the entrepreneurs, including the need for greater closeness to the Region and all the institutions, for clarity and for concretely implementing decrees.
“The companies – underlines Guidesi – put on the table a series of requests that we brought to Europe's attention: one above all, the need to lower interest rates, that is the costs for access to liquidity, an essential condition to be able to resume investments and continue to innovate even anticipating the times, a peculiar characteristic of the Lombardy system".
The German crisis is putting Lombardy to the test, despite this, Councilor Guidesi highlighted how Lombardy remains an entrepreneurial excellence at a global level, reaching between the third quarter of 2022 and the middle of 2023 record export turnover. However, the result hides an immense potential that is still unexpressed, as many companies are not exporters.
For this reason, Lombardy has equipped itself with a precise industrial plan and a strategy based on “not doing great new things, but connecting the know-how already available”.
According to the councilor, this means generating "economic value" on the one hand, moving from an idea of individual heritage to a shared heritage, and on the other "social value", as bringing connections to the territory would allow young people to produce benefits for the entire community.
The Councilor also underlined how the creation of an ecosystem between companies, based on the sharing of their know-how, can be the effective tool to face the challenges of the future in synergy, anticipating the times and to restore that economic value that is still unexpressed today .
